Updated: International Campaign Accomplishments

On August 10, 2012, the Obama Administration unveiled a United States Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence Globally (Strategy), the first of its kind in U.S. history and a monumental victory for women and girls around the world. The White House also released an Executive Order to accompany the Strategy, putting the force of law behind its implementation. The Strategy was an integral part of Futures Without Violence’s Five-Part Action Plan to End Violence Against Women and Girls Globally.
