Day 8: The Line Campaign, Australia

The Line Campaign connects with teenagers across Australia through interactive videos, posters, music, and more to communicate healthy relationship advice. The four-year multimedia campaign is run by the Primary Prevention Safety Task Force of the Australian Government, and addresses healthy relationship behaviors, gender stereotypes, online safety, and conflict resolution.

The campaign encourages teenagers to think critically about what “crosses the line” in relationships, and what type of behavior constitutes abuse. The campaign is largely interactive, posing scenarios and situations to teenagers and allowing them to evaluate their own responses. Using media and language that young people can relate to, The Line Campaign encourages discussion and debate about relationship issues and violence against women.
