A new resource for preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence in older populations is now available. By focusing specifically on domestic and sexual violence among people in this age group, this special collection highlights the complexities of older people’s experiences with violence and emphasizes collaborative and multi-pronged approaches to addressing it in later life.
“Preventing and Responding to Domestic & Sexual Violence in Later Life” addresses: defining elder abuse; overview, research and cultural considerations; key stakeholders; training materials; laws and public policy; and more.
This resource was developed by the Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse in collaboration with the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and in close consultation with the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life.
