New Resource

Nov 19, 2010

The Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) has released a new report detailing current research on batterer intervention programs. It highlights innovative practices and addresses how related fields are approaching similar problems.

“The Woods” Charitable Foundation gave the FVPF a grant to produce “Doing the Work and Measuring the Progress.” The funds were used to organize a two-day meeting of experts on batterer intervention programs and domestic violence research and practice.  The FVPF held the meeting last December with the National Institute of Justice (NIJ).  The meeting explored how to improve systems that work with domestic violence perpetrators, and how research can be more helpful to those working to prevent violence.
