Family Violence Prevention Fund Is Now Futures Without Violence

May 5, 2011

On May 1, the Family Violence Prevention Fund changed its name to Futures Without Violence – making its name its vision. The organization’s mission remains to prevent and end violence against women and children around the world.

Accompanying the new name is a new international center – Futures Without Violence at the Presidio National Park in San Francisco. This historic center, scheduled for completion in 2012, will serve as a global town square to promote the safety and wellbeing of all through education, advocacy, and leadership programs, giving voice to women and girls, men and boys everywhere.

Futures Without Violence has launched a new website –

The organization is also going to deliver information in new ways, and this is the last issue of the Speaking Up newsletter.
