National Stalking Awareness Month

Dec 19, 2007

January will be the 5th National Stalking Awareness Month, and the National Center for Victims of Crime is offering fact sheets, brochures geared to victims, sample resolutions, sample op-ed pieces (guest editorials), camera-ready artwork for buttons and magnets, and more. The Center’s new posters, available online, carry the theme, “It’s not a joke. It’s not romantic. It’s not OK. Stop Stalking.” Each year, more than one million women and 400,000 men become victims of stalking – a serious and sometimes deadly crime. Visit for a map of activities planned around the country for National Stalking Awareness Month, and much more information!
