On October 3rd, FUTURES will host the first Open Square Summit in Washington, DC. Working with partners that include Google, Facebook, and the World Bank. FUTURES is convening international thought leaders, policymakers, philanthropists, practitioners, and advocates to discuss successful communications strategies, technology platforms, policy priorities, and advocacy efforts that are offering innovative solutions for ending gender-based violence.

The invitation-only gathering will:
  •  Highlight game-changing communications strategies, campaigns and programs from around the world that are bringing about long-term behavioral change;
  • Build momentum within U.S. government agencies to implement effective programs and policies to prevent and respond to gender-based violence;
  • Promote the intersection of technology and public action, showing successful tools; 
  • Involve thought leaders to encourage deeper engagement on this issue; 
  • Showcase how the advocacy paradigm itself is evolving with the use of innovative technology; and
  • Educate, inspire and motivate participants to become part of the solution.
