Judith Kanter has devoted her life to the empowerment of women and the promotion of women’s leadership. She is the Former Director of the San Francisco office of EMILY’S List (Early Money Is Like Yeast), which raises money for Pro Choice Democratic women political candidates. She is instrumental in organizing men and women on the issue of violence prevention, including sitting on Futures Without Violence’s Steering Committee planning the content and vision for the International Center to End Abuse. Kanter is involved with a number of other nonprofit organizations, including LifePrint (formerly known as Alumnae Resources), the CORO Foundation and Emerge. She is new to the board of the San Francisco Symphony, and to the national board of EMILY’s List. Recently, Kanter received major accolades from Emerge and from the Golden Gate Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Northern California Grantmakers.
