Ketayoun Darvich-Kodjouri Vice President, Communications

Ketayoun Darvich-Kodjouri (she/her/hers) is responsible for external communications at FUTURES. Her role is to broaden the organization’s visibility by directing multi-platform communications that engage audiences in the belief that we can achieve a world without violence.

She’s an Iranian-American communicator with a 20-year track record advancing communications everywhere from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Abuja, Nigeria. Most recently, she worked as an independent consultant to the nation’s leading foundations and nonprofits dedicated to advancing equality and building equitable communities that create opportunity for all. Previously, as vice president at the public interest PR firm Spitfire Strategies, she led accounts on reproductive rights, children’s health, metropolitan opportunities, and food security.

Ketayoun is on the faculty of Black Women’s Blueprint and was a founding faculty member for the NOVO Foundation’s 10-year Move to End Violence training initiative. She has worked and volunteered at domestic violence and rape crisis agencies in DC, Indiana, and New Mexico. Ketayoun has served on several non-profit boards, including the leading reproductive health research organization, the Guttmacher Institute, and is a frequent speaker, trainer, and writer
